The Training and Coaching Programme on Human Rights Care for Offenders (HRC) will seek to help officers to understand the necessity of the principles and procedures in a Human Rights Approach to prison Management towards offenders. In this Course/Workshop we will examine the best practices and the critical role of how to manage prisons with a human rights philosophy. This philosophy is embedded in the care and treatment of offenders since prison officers play a critical role in assisting inmates with their rehabilitation. How inmates are processed determine the effectiveness of their rehabilitation and reintegration

This course was conducted for the Regional Security System (RSS) June 26-30, 2017, and attended by RSS Members in Antigua, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
